This week for inquiry we have been looking at when the Europeans first came to New Zealand. Our task was to create a map of how they got from the U.K to NZ, Then we had to write down their challenges and what happened on the boat, I have also included a picture of the boat.

Joyful Jellie Park Trip

Yesterday ( Thursday 10th December ) Marshland school went on a trip to Jellie Park! Well not the whole school just Tui and Korimako, Toroa went surfing and Kiwi and Pukeko Are too young but still had a fun day. At Jellie Park we had a fun-filled day with so many things to do like, Hydroslides, Two straight ones that you could race your friend in, and a long curvy one that you could do a limit of up to 5 people on at once, I went on both of them loads of times and it was so fun, there were also 2 diving boards a little one and a big one, And lastly the pool, There was a pool with a shallow end and a deep end that you could jump in from the end, in the pool, there were also 3 big floaties and heaps of boards and rings. The day was heaps of fun and one of the highlights of the day was watching Mr. Bell and Ms. Smith Race down the hydro slides, It was a very close race but Ms. Smith just won It was so close! Did your school go to Jellie Park? Did you have fun on the last week of school? Please leave me some feedback by leaving a Positive, Thoughtful, Helpful Comment. Blog you later!

My Speech

Kia ora Bloggers! What did you choose for your speech topic?
In the past couple of weeks in Korimako, we have been working on our speeches. And on Tuesday we presented them to our home bases. Then on Wednesday, we got told who was going to get through to do it in front of the hub on Monday. There were some very interesting topics chosen like Things you were told were true but are complete lies! Or a funny one was How grownups are a weird species. I chose to do mine on Why Dad jokes should be banned! I'm very proud of how it came out and how I presented it!

Really Cool Reading Activities

Kia Ora Bloggers! How was your first week of term 4?
In the last week of school last term we started doing these fun tasks on different topics. How it worked is on the Korimako Hub Site under Mrs. Atkinson Reading, there was a slide with 4 different pictures, if you clicked on each one they would all take you to a different Google Drawing, On the Drawing, there were different questions about the topic. I have done 3 so far and am about to do the 4th one. My favourite one so far was Anne Frank because it was cool finding out about her story and what she had to go through at a young age. I have worked hard on this and I like how it has turned out. I have put information and pictures with each topic. How was your first week back at school? Do you know anything else about these topics that I haven't put in? Did you find out something new from reading this? Please leave me some feedback    by leaving a Positive, Helpful, Thoughtful comment. Blog you later!

Fabulous Facts about Stonehenge

Kia Ora Bloggers! What is your favorite place you have been to?
This week in Reading we were given the task to research about Stonehenge. Our tasks were, Read the book on Wonderopollis then watch the video on the slide. One of our other tasks was to research some facts about Stonehenge. This is my slide with all the facts on it. I researched about, when it was made, who made it and how long it took. It took me a while to get all of the facts but I am happy with how many I got.  Now I am working on making the facts into a book on book creator but that might take a while.  Have you ever been to Stonehenge? Do you know where Stonehenge is? Please leave me some feedback by leaving me a Positive, Helpful, Thoughtful comment. Bye!
